Wonderful evening at the Hardwood Ski and Bike Torch Relay on Wednesday, June 10th. The Torch made its way in to the venue in the hands of Hardwood’s founder, Kim Viney and World Cup mountain biker, Emily Batty carried the torch for the final stretch while a mass of local kids followed closely behind.
Following the Torch Relay, the Ugandan Orphans Choir put on a incredible show for the many fans and spectators.
Thank you to the Township of Oro-Medonte for hosting a community BBQ, raising over $500 for a local not-for-profit, YouthBoost, an organization dedicated to raising funding for kids that cant afford to participate in sport.
Pan Am Games at Hardwood Ski & Bike
Hardwood Ski and Bike will be hosting the Mountain Bike portion of the Pan Am Games this coming July 2015. Though the games live for a short time, Hardwood has developed several new riding features and trails in the lead up to the event. Locals and tourists will be able to not only ride those features prior to the games, but they can also ride the course once the Pan Am Games have passed.
Can’t wait for Pan Am Games next month!!!
