E-BIKE CHARGING STATIONS

E-Bike Charging Stations along the Simcoe County Loop Trail

The Simcoe County Loop Trail now features two new E‑Bike Charging Stations, introduced in 2025 as part of a pilot project designed to support sustainable tourism and active transportation across the region. Located directly along the trail, these stations give riders a convenient place to recharge, extend their journey, and explore more of Simcoe County’s scenic landscapes.

In partnership with the Town of Midland and the Township of Severn, two strategic locations were selected for the first installations. Each station is free to use and compatible with all e‑bike chargers, making it easier for cyclists of every experience level to enjoy longer rides with confidence.

This pilot project marks the beginning of a broader vision: building a connected network of charging locations throughout the Simcoe County Loop Trail and beyond, supporting a greener, more accessible cycling experience for both residents and visitors.

As the project evolves, feedback from trail users and municipal staff will help guide future installations and improvements. Whether you’re touring the full 160‑km loop or enjoying a shorter ride, these charging stations are here to keep you moving.
